Parm was established by Paul Raftery in 2002 to service clients requiring independent advice with respect to: • capital / debt providers and board communications • investment decision making and process • structured and project finance. • strategic & practical issues associated with structuring • FX, interest rate and commodity hedging. Parm also provides: • access to allied professionals • associated advisory services.
 
As principal of Parm, Paul has excellent technical skills and practical experience gained from working for over 20 years for leading international and Australian organisations. His experience spans a broad range of industry groups. Prior to forming Parm Paul was Thiess’ Executive Manager – Investment & Finance and the foundation Treasurer at Shell Coal. His professional career commenced in investment banking with BA Australia.
Paul is a qualified accountant and holds masters degrees in finance and banking. Paul is a past President of the Finance and Treasury Association and extensively networked in the financial markets.
Parm is active in seeking funding, including structured finance and associated advisory services for its clients. Parm focuses on communication of ideas with emphasis being on preparing bankable proposals. Parm will then market the proposal on its client’s behalf seeking the optimal tax and accounting effective solution for its client. Next, Parm will evaluate proposals from the financial sector and make recommendations to management or boards. Parm offers both strategic and practical assistance with major investments, joint ventures, acquisitions / divestments and managing transition. Parm provides ancillary services of finance policy preparation or independent review.
